When does human life begin?

Does it begin at conception? This definition is the “bone of contention” that separates advocates of “pro-life and pro-choice”. To confer “personhood” to a fetus is also not a traditional Talmud law; this teaching allows abortion with limits but still inaccurate as defined by God.

Division emanates from this controversial subject that elevated to and heard by SCOTUS to rule in the infamous Roe v Wade which, in itself, has adherents and detractors even to this day.

Debate on this subject continues that is predicated on one’s interpretation of when human life begins. Does it start when 2 strands of DNA coalesce, at fertilization when zygote(fertilized egg) is formed? At embryonic stage? How about when fetal heartbeat is confirmed by ultrasound? How could these visible actions be ignored as evidence of life, some may ask?

Still, others would disagree even with these obvious intra-uterine activities, as “life”. With our advanced knowledge and understanding, one can correctly argue with the absence of life on metals, although with motion that is by automaticity, (as programmed by the inventor/manufacturer) like self-driving cars, machines, robotics and drones. Are they not “life-forms” just because they are “inorganic matters”?

In that case, consider a well preserved “organic” heart by hypothermia prior to transplant that is not moving, is that dead because of absence of visible contraction? But, when transplanted, re-warmed and begins to contract because of perfusion myocardial automaticity, is that heartbeat not an evidence of when life begins? Yet, when EEG is just flickering or lost of cerebral activity on “circulatory arrest and profound hypothermia” during a cardiac procedure or when a person on ventilator still has cardiac function but with “flat EEG and no pupillary reflex with pupils dilated, is the person still functionally alive or dead? Likewise, the motion in the intricate process of the electron transfer chain, ATP, formation of Vitamin D, chlorophyll, physiologic process, etc. , is that “life”? It is an obvious suspension of disbelief to assume those established activities as “life”.

Similarly, and extending the controversy, when “water moves/separates”as in Genesis 1:6-7 (CSB)Then God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters, separating water from water.” So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above the expanse. And it was so.”

Exodus 14:21-22 (CSB) “Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. The LORD drove the sea back with a powerful east wind all that night and turned the sea into dry land. So the waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with the waters like a wall to them on their right and their left.”

These verses suggest that mere activities or motions of water are “kinetic energies established, programmed and activated (by God) from potential energies” but not necessarily living entities or “having life”.

As humans have different take on any subject depending on their diverse educational background, can they really define when life begins? For this very important subject, and without endorsing or denying pro-life nor pro-choice, who really should define when life begins? The giver or recipient of life? The Creator God or humans? The answer is obvious to anyone who believes in an “intelligent designer”.

Genesis as a source

As Creator God (YHVH Elohim) and “source-of-life” revealed this definition of life in the book of Genesis, what better place to go back to and understand? Here is what it says in Genesis 2:7

Then the LORD God (YHVH Elohim) formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Notice the 2 components of man based on where it came from:

1. The matter-component comes from the “dust of the ground”. It is “earthly” as confirmed in 1 Corinthians 15:48

2. The non-matter or spirit-component comes directly from Lord God himself, the “breath-of-life”, which is “heavenly” as confirmed in 1 Corinthians 15:48

What defines life or death?

As clear as sunshine, presence of that “breath-of-life”(aka “spirit-of-man”) defines whether a “being” is “alive or dead”, and not motion of cells or activities of organ systems. This concept is further buttressed conversely by what defines death:

Ecclesiastes 12:7 For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.”

Psalms 146:4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.(i.e. no longer thinking or brain activity stops).

Acts 7:59 “They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”

From the preceding verse concepts, it is clear that presence of “breath-of-life”(aka, spirit-of-man) makes a living being and it’s separation or absence from the matter-component of man, defines death. By extension, any activity or motion within and by the matter-component of man does not define “life” in the absence of “breath-of-life”.

Mechanism of material creation

Notice the process of how this material creation begins. In a nutshell, there has to be 2 distinct sex-opposite persons from where DNA has to originate as haploid gametes. There are 2 strands of DNA that has to bond as a double helix, with one strand coming from an egg of a female and the other strand from a sperm of a male. The fertilized egg then becomes a zygote which then grows and develops body components in-utero, till maturity and then delivered. The intrauterine movements and responses of the fetus appear to be reflexes and automaticity. Keep in mind that the intra-uterine fetus is not breathing atmospheric air on its own, and blood-respiratory exchanges are through fetal circulatory mechanism via the placenta.

In Genesis, when man was created, the “material/flesh-composition came from organic and inorganic material elements, aka, “dust of the ground”, but did not have life, a “living being”,until God breathe into his nostrils “the breath of life”. That “breath-of-life”, aka “spirit-of-man” did not come from the ground but came directly from spirit-composed God-Creator, by “breathing into the nostrils” and therefore a spirit-component-of-man”. A living person therefore has 2 components: flesh from the ground(earthy)and spirit-of-man(heavenly), without which the flesh is dead. This spirit-component is the only component that survives and goes back to the Creator when a person dies; the “real you” lives as the “rest of yourots and dies.

Harmonizing concepts of “activity” vs “human life“

Conceptually from the preceding, activities/motion do not define “life” nor should it be defined as “beginning of life”. All the changes that come with “union of 2-strands” of DNA by whatever method, nor the complex biochemical processes that come after, are spontaneously programmed into these organic and inorganic materials all the way through growth and development of the fetus in-utero, before the infant is delivered and spontaneously breathe on its own, can be considered “activities” but “not life itself”. They are “kinetic energies emanating from potential energies” established by the Creator God. Only when, the “spirit-component” is “breathe into man”, at which time of spontaneous breathing-in atmospheric air, can the “material component” be called a “living being”.

When an infant is delivered but does not breathe spontaneously even after attempted resuscitations the baby is dead and called a “stillbirth”. But, with breathing atmospheric air on its own, that becomes a “living being”, then learns from its fully developed 5-senses. As to a possible mechanism of learning is, a concept of “holographic DNA” may help in the growth and development of humans.

On the other hand, it is more complex spiritually, the growth and development of the “spirit-of-man” (female strand) by in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit of God (male strand) given to us by Jesus, as a gift from the Father. Nevertheless, the same general mechanism that leads to a change into a “new and ongoing creation”.

Summary

A continuing controversy is “the beginning of life”, at conception or when? This is a head-butting challenge among “pro-lifers and pro-choice abortionists/infanticide”, heightened and aggravated by federal and/or state funding for “women’s health”. This division emanates from humans co-opting God as the definer of when life begins and their failure to recognize the process of human creation with 2 components of man as taught by the “Life giver-God” in the Holy Bible.

God formed the “material component of man” from the inorganic/organic “dust of the ground/earthy” and became a “living being” only when the “breath-of-life/spirit-of-man” is given by spirit-composed “Creator-God/YHVH-Elohim”. Any biological process before this spirit-component (real you) was given to that material component resulted from kinetic energy programmed automatically within potential energy by Creator-God, the ultimate source of anything physical and spiritual. energy.

As the “material human creation” starts with a complex 2 stranded/double-helical DNA, one feminine strand binding with another male strand, so does “spiritual new human creation”. Spiritually speaking, the “spirit-of-man/breath-of-life” is the feminine strand put in man to be a living being.

This then learns from the “5 senses” of the flesh-composed human and becomes the composite of that natural body” from which decision is made to take action confronting him/her. But this “flesh-composed” body is subject to “pull of the fleshand needs a “Comforter/Advocate” (Holy Spirit) to empower it to overcome temptations and falsehood as Jesus learned in the garden of Gethsemane. It is a Genesis human creation that is lacking in spiritual power as planned for good purpose. It is merely a “template/temple “ into which the “male strand of spiritual DNA” (again from God) in-dwells and binds with the feminine-strand, the “spirit-of-man”. Through a more complex process, the “spiritual zygote” then grows and develops through a process of sanctification, learning wisdom to choose good from evil”.

Disclaimer:

This post should not be taken as an indictment of “pro-life” nor an endorsement of “pro-abortion”. No one should act out their beliefs with “criminal behavior”. For those being tempted to “abort”, please consider alternatives like adoption, second-opinion and most specifically, not to engage in sexual intimacy prior to commitments with one another , whether through civil or church venues. For rape and incest, there are laws that govern; we hope and pray that your personal decision will be consistent with what God wants.

This article is not about casting aspersions nor endorsing the merits of either side of the debate, a controversy aplenty. Rather, the goal is to give pause to the animus, make time for reflection and provide salutary perspective.

Some may not like to hear the truth, but somehow, one needs “to tell how the cow ate the cabbage”, a Southern catchphrase. This subject is a difficult one to resolve in its entirety and we will not be able to “carry forests on my back” but at least let us put a “crack” on this “nut”.

People have to muster gumption to tackle this dilemma of “when life begins and ends”. It is a yeoman’s task to venture on finding a balance among different perspectives, biblical or secular, cerebral or emotional they may be. That said, one recognizes the consequences emanating from issues about pro-life/pro-choice and life/death dilemma.”

Moreover, the advice of Paul within the context of I Corinthians 8:4 and in I Corinthians 10:28 can provide direction so as not to alienate others. With kindness and gentleness, try harder not to offend others with personal beliefs.

In responding to these difficult situations, always express the “fruits of the Holy Spirit”, in Galatians 5:22-23 viz.,

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

My hope and goal are to unite, not divide, on “things that matter”. through biblical studies.

***After knowing “when life begins”, does this knowledge justify abortion or infanticide? Can society confer “personhood” to a fetus according to traditional Talmud law; this teaching allows abortion with limits but still inaccurate as defined by God. For the answer, the next biblical research may help and will be posted soon as a follow-up.***

God bless🙏😇

DNA’s coded message?

Why do we have DNA to start off as “bricks and mortars” of life? Does God have a message that we need to see from this? The apostle Paul indicated that there is:

Romans 1:20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”(NIV)

Revealed in this generation

The discovery of enormously complex DNA Double Helix is one of the greatest scientific discoveries of all time. First described by James Watson and Francis Crick in 1953, DNA is the famous molecule of genetics that establishes each organism’s physical characteristics.

“With the “discovery, mapping and sequencing of the DNA molecule, we now understand that organic life is based on vastly complex information code, and such information cannot be created or interpreted without a Master Designer at the cosmic keyboard. Each human DNA molecule is comprised of chemical bases arranged in approximately 3 billion precise sequences. More appropriately, the A(adenine), T(thymine) in C(cytosine) and G(guanine) in the genetic code of the DNA molecule can be compared to the “0” and “1” in the binary code of computer software. Like software to a computer, the DNA code is a genetic language that communicates information to the organic cell. DNA molecule is an intricate message system. The material base of a message is completely independent of the information transmitted. Thus, the chemical building blocks have nothing to do with the origin of the complex message. As a simple illustration, the information content of the clause “nature was designed” has nothing to do with the writing material used, whether ink, paint, chalk or crayon. In fact, the clause can be written in binary code, Morse code or smoke signals, but the message remains the same, independent of the medium. There is obviously no relationship between the information and the material base used to transmit it. Contrary to the current theories of evolutionary scientists, the information contained within the genetic code must be entirely independent of the chemical makeup of the DNA molecule.

The DNA is the starting point for the process of creating living beings. Our generation is blessed to know and understand the complexity of fertilization, conception, intra-uterine fetal growth/development and onwards through adulthood. But how really did this begin?

Material DNA, a prequel to spiritual DNA

Notice the process of how this material creation begins. In a nutshell, there has to be 2 distinct sex-opposite persons from where DNA has to originate as haploid gametes. There are 2 strands of DNA that has to bond into a double helix, with one strand coming from an egg of a female and the other strand from a sperm of a male. The fertilized egg then becomes a zygote which then grows and develops body components in-utero, till maturity at 9 months and then delivered. The intrauterine movements and responses of the fetus appear to be reflexes and automaticity. Keep in mind that the intra-uterine fetus is not breathing atmospheric air on its own, and blood-respiratory exchanges are through fetal circulatory mechanism via the placenta.

In Genesis, when man was created, the “flesh-composition” came from organic and inorganic material elements, aka, “dust of the ground”, but did not have life, a “living being”,until God breathe into his nostrils “the breath of life”, which is the activating and initiating energy. That “breath-of-life”, aka “spirit-of-man” did not come from the ground but came directly from spirit-composed God-Creator, by “breathing into the nostrils” and therefore “a spirit-component-of-man”.

A living person therefore has 2 components: flesh from the ground(earthy)and spirit-of-man(heavenly), without which the flesh is dead. This spirit-component is the only component that survives and goes back to the Creator when a person dies; the “real you” lives as the “rest of yourots and dies.

Accounted as ONE person

While male and female beings have the same 2 components, i.e., flesh and spirit-of-man, they are “accounted as one flesh” as the woman came from the rib of Adam as in Genesis 2:21 In a way, male and female metaphorically are “double-stranded” together as one flesh. And as one person. Both are also figuratively assigned with a “feminine gender” as in “church/temple, bride, woman”. Likewise, Israel (northern part) was a wife to husband YHVH Elohim and divorced as in Jeremiah 3:8 as Judah (southern part) was called sister. See also 2 Corinthians 11:2
I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin (woman)to him.” (See the division of Israel into northern and southern kingdoms in 1 Kings 11:9-13, 1 Kings 11:29-39)

Message from double-helix DNA

As man and woman are numerically considered as “one person and as such is assigned afeminine gender”, here now is the message that comes with the spiritual significance of material double-helix DNA in forming a spirit-composednew creation” referred to in 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

The “breath-of-life (spirit-of-man) breathe into the nostrils of man is the “energy” that empowers the flesh-component of man to be alive. This is the “feminine spirit-component” and the female strand of the spiritual double-helix given by the Creator-God YHVH-Elohim. By itself, it will not develop into a “new spirit-composed living being”. It needs a male strand that comes from the Father. As Christ said, he needs to “go away” to receive this “new energy” (Advocate/Holy Spirit) from the Father and to subsequently in-dwell” in us to “create new spirit-composed beings”. As Jesus said, “the spirit (of man) is willing but the flesh is weak”, meaning that the flesh is mortal, temporary and will die but the “spirit-of-man” has to get its wisdom and direction to act through the Holy Spirit that will come.

Jesus proved this to be so, himself as a “trailblazer/author/captain/finisher” receiving this Holy Spirit at River Jordan to empower him to overcome Satan, do miracles, make correct choice at garden of Gethsemane, endure crucifixion, be resurrected/declared as “Son of God” and the “firstborn of many brethren”

Now, that Jesus has proven himself as planned by the Father that this process is the only “way, truth and life”, with this “new energy” to create, he has then given this to empower first his 12 disciples then generally to others at Pentecost for them to grow and develop spiritually. The mechanism involved here is this:

The Holy Spirit/Comforter/Advocate represents the “male strand of spiritual DNA” binding as a double helix with the “female-strand”(breath-of-life”) first placed in man to live. Both are “spirit-composed” and came from above, heavenly. And from here on, the “spiritual zygote” then grows and develops “parts of spirit-body” through overcoming many challenges, nooks-and-crannies and hoops in life to reach maturity. Then, the prophecy of “woman in travail” will be fulfilled by delivery of new spirit-composed sons and daughters of God

Summary

The material double-helix DNA is a very complex pairing from female and male material sources that can only be programmed by an “Intelligent Designer”. This forms flesh-composed being through growth and development in-utero and into maturity in 9 months. At delivery, this infant was made alive/energized by God through an “in-dwelling” of the “breath-of-life”, and shown by breathing-in atmospheric air. The “breath-of-life/spirit-of-man” is the “female component strand, which is spiritcomposed”, having come directly from God.

However, this living being has 2-components that are in conflict with each other(Galatians 5:17) with the “spirit willing but flesh is weak” as Jesus experienced in the garden of Gethsemane. The “spirit-of-man” has to have an “Advocate/Comforter to empower it, be guided and develop wisdom to choose good over evil.

Observe the difference among children from the same parents. The DNA that comes from parents are mere “physical/material components”. The “spirit-of-man/the mind” from God learns from “5+physical sensory organs of humans” to become the totality of its composite being. Rightly or wrongly that makes the “living being”. And, this composite is “weak” and Jesus took 3 times to see for himself that it needs another component to strengthen it.

This is why a “male component strand of spiritual DNA , the Holy Spirit, has to be received as a gift by resurrected-Jesus from the Father. Not Jesus, nor YHVH Elohim(the Creator God in Genesis) had the authority to use this energy/power before, until after YHVH Elohim incarnated into man-Christ Jesus who then died and resurrected.

Having received the Holy Spirit(as Son of God)Jesus is then authorized/empowered to energize the formation of this double-helix with the female component strand of the “spiritual DNA” by in-dwelling in the “temple not made by hands”, the holy-of-holies/most holy place, residing in man.

From this union or bonding into a double-helix spirit-composed DNA, will grow and develop (within the “pregnancy stage”) into “spirit-composed living beings” leading to “delivery at “first resurrection” of the “first-fruits “.

Remember, as the double-helix can also split, away from each other, so can the Holy Spirit cleave away from the “spirit-of-man”. Be an “overcomer” as Christ is.

God bless🙏😇 and Happy Jewish New Year🎉

Cautionary note: This is my current understanding of how “new creation” happens. It must not be taken as a dogma, dictum or an edict but my humble attempt to explain the process.

September 11,2001, the message?

Today, September 11, 2020, we remember this catastrophic history of “stark evil” against innocent people in New York that reverberated worldwide for its horrific intensity, death and destruction.

The September 11 attacks (often referred to as 9/11) were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamist terrorist group al-Qaeda[3][4][5] against the United States on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The attacks resulted in 2,977 fatalities, over 25,000 injuries, and substantial long-term health consequences, in addition to at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage. 9/11 is the single deadliest terrorist attack in human history and the single deadliest incident for firefighters and law enforcement officers in the history of the United States, with 343 and 72 killed, respectively.

From this vicious historical event one can deduce the following 2 incontrovertible facts:

1. There is evil that resides in the “mind”( aka, spirit-of-man). What made these people commit this murder and destruction? Any evil for that matter, what makes it act out? It comes down to what “their mind was taught” all their lives to muster strength and determination to plan and execute. We are all a “product” of our education that provides a composite that makes us who we are. The obvious solution is to “change what was taught” to that “mind”. That “mind” is the “spirit-of-man”, aka, “breath-of-life”, the “real you”, that made man a “living being”. But, how could this “spirit-of-man” (mind) change?

The “good news” is, there is only one way this can be achieved and that solution has been known from the foundation of the world. And that, is the realization that man, on his own, has “weak flesh “, and needs a “helper or advocate” for empowerment.

Everything that leads to action has to have “energy/power”. The modern use of “energy” “dates from around the middle of the nineteenth century, when it was beginning to be realised that the power that drove many different processes could be explained by the concept of energy being transferred from one system and form to another.”

No action happens without energy/power. Before one moves any muscle, a series of action within the process is activated. Chemical, neural, mechanical energies are as real as energies classified as electrical, solar, wind, nuclear, etc. These empower material things to take action, like motor vehicles, light bulbs, wireless networks and the like. But, spiritual things can only be empowered by “spirit-energy/power”.

This “helper/advocate” was promised to be given to resurrected Jesus for us to receive subsequently from him as a gift. This is the energy that empowers and provides strength, guidance, direction, etc. to make the correct decision of choosing good over evil and act on it.

This “energy/power” was given 1st to the apostles then at Pentecost. This will help us to be “one” with the Father as “man-Jesus has proven as a “trailblazer, captain of our salvation”. The essence of the “gospel” is predicated on our “ongoing creation”.

2. Life is like a vapor that is gone in a snap. Whether by accident, disease, natural disaster, drive-by shootings, foreign/domestic terrorism, warsor whatever, death is an ever present risk that lurks at the corner, haunting us constantly. Because we are mortals, all of us are “appointed to die once and afterwards undergo judgment”.

As “life is fleeting”, the focus should be in “life after”, the “legacy that lasts”. And, this “destiny” has been planned from the beginning of time. The “time has come” and the kingdom of God is at hand.

God bless👍🙏😇

Labor Day, what message resonates?

Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United Statescelebrated on the first Monday in September to honor and recognize the American labor movementand the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States. And so apropos it is to pay homage to the “structure of national life erected upon toil, blood, sweat and tears” of the workforce.

Truly, those who work, whether at home or in any other place of work, contribute much to the progress of the nation. But remember, a worker has to be born first, and mothers’ “labor at childbirth” must also be recognized and revered.

Labor of Christ

But how fitting and timely it would be to also remember on this day the “labor of Christ? For him to be the “trailblazer, author, finisher of our faith and captain of our salvation” is a turning point in the “destiny of man”. What he did on earth as a human may answer the question “Who the Father of Labor Day” is.

Salvation is an arduous process that takes time. The teaching “once saved, always saved is not consistent with the truth. Faith initiated this process and it does not end there, as “faith without works is dead being alone”.

No wonder, man-Jesus started it and all the original apostles followed till their martyrdom. Our current “works” is not actually ours but came to be, as equipped by the empowerment of the in-dwelling Holy Spirit of power gifted to us by God.

On this Labor Day, let us all continue to “walk by the Spirit” till our future martyrdom. Let us be “overcomers”.

God Bless🙏😇👍😊
